Our Community Exercise classes offer a variety of engaging workouts designed to help you stay active and energized.
We offer three senior-friendly, eight-week programs—Stronger Together, Fit & Fun, and Chair Fitness—each featuring dynamic exercises, lively music, and a welcoming community. Whether you are new to exercise, have limited mobility, or simply enjoy fitness with a fun twist, there's a class for you.
Led by Jennifer Andrews, SLFHT Fitness Instructor, these programs are inclusive to all fitness levels and designed to help you build strength, improve mobility, and enhance overall well-being.

Join us for an eight-week journey to improved strength, mobility, and overall wellness—designed with safety, fun, and community in mind.
This program focuses on building strength, enhancing balance, and increasing flexibility through functional exercises tailored to all fitness levels.
What to Expect:
- Gentle but Effective Workouts – A mix of chair exercises, resistance training, light cardio, and balance drills to help you feel stronger and more stable.
- Gradual Progression – Strength-building movements like seated rows, squats, and bicep curls using resistance bands, light weights, or bodyweight exercises.
- Balance & Coordination – Improve stability with standing leg lifts, heel-to-toe walking, and mobility exercises that support daily activities.
- Fun & Motivation – A welcoming group atmosphere with nostalgic music to keep energy high and spirits lifted.

- Cardio to Get Moving – Light marching, step-touch routines, and low-impact dance moves help improve cardiovascular endurance while being easy on the joints.
- Strength Training for Stability – Resistance exercises using light weights, bands, or bodyweight help maintain muscle tone, improve bone density, and support daily activities.
- Balance & Coordination Work – Standing leg lifts, heel-to-toe walking, and controlled stretches improve stability and range of motion.
- Mobility & Cool-Down – Gentle flexibility exercises reduce stiffness and leave you feeling strong, energized, and confident.

Fit & Fun is more than just a workout—it’s an opportunity to stay active, socialize, and enjoy movement in a supportive environment
while building strength and balance.
This chair-based fitness program focuses on balance, stability, mobility, and strength in a safe, low-impact format designed to improve overall fitness and functionality. Exercises are performed seated or with the support of a sturdy chair, allowing participants to build strength and coordination without unnecessary strain on the joints or risk of falls.
What to Expect:
- Gentle, Effective Movements – Seated marches, leg lifts, heel-to-toe raises, and gentle stretches help improve flexibility and mobility.
- Strength & Stability Focus – Exercises like seated side leg raises, knee extensions, and supported standing balance drills enhance lower body strength and coordination.
- Core Engagement – Seated twists and pelvic tilts strengthen core muscles, supporting balance and posture.
- Adaptability for All Levels – Movements can be modified to increase or decrease intensity based on individual needs.
